About-Us

indiana farm, farm, country living, down-home My wife and I decided we wanted to seek out that “dream life” many people speak of—LIVING IN THE COUNTRY. Now, we didn’t just decide to move out of town a short distance…we REALLY moved to the country! We left the big city life of Denver (a great city) and moved to an old farm house in rural INDIANA…close to lots of relatives…which so far has been a very good experience.

That move would be quite a change all by itself, but when you consider that I was born and raised in the LA area of California and have now gone from a hometown of millions of people to a hometown of just over 1,500 folks (most of them are related and have lived here forever), you can understand why I seem to find things that raise my eyebrows and give me something to chuckle about every day.

We have moved to the world of garden fresh, classic, down-home cooking. Whether it’s a creamy custard pie or a spicy barbeque sauce, we enjoy the adventure of trying any new recipe, so I guess it is a good thing we moved to a place where we can get lots of outdoor exercise as well as great food. At least we can work off a lot of those additional calories that come from trying out so many culinary delights! tractor pull, antique tractor, deere We hope you will visit us often on our web site and send us some of your own fun food stories and favorite recipes. We’ll also be adding in blogs about some of our other interests and experiences (pets, arts and crafts, travel—we never get bored) and we would love to hear about your world, too.
