Breakfast or Brunch
Some of the greatest breakfast or brunch feasts I remember were the ones I had growing up. Waking to the smell of bacon sizzling on the stove and fresh coffee brewing brings back memories of yesteryear. We always made Sunday a special family get together. When we got home from church everybody would get to work...cooking, setting the table, still in our Sunday best. The "old men" would pretend to read the paper or listen to radio shows in the living room, just waiting to be called to the table. When we all took our seats there was plenty of hot cakes and bacon, sausages and toast, potatoes and eggs...all just the way you liked them best....Denny's Style!...but somehow home and mom made it all the better!
