Quick Cherry Dessert
Keep these ingredients on your pantry shelf and you will never be at a loss when you need a last minute dessert. Ingredients: 2 cans (1 lb. 5 oz. each) prepared cherry pie filling 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon almond extract 1 package white or yellow ONE LAYER cake mix (9 oz.) 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Combine pie filling, cinnamon, and extract; spread in a 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle cake mix over the top; drizzle with butter; sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
